MK Communicates (MKC) is a corporation designed to assist Mothers and Daughters with freely possessing open communication, respectfully and without judgment. Research indicates that a Mother-Daughter bond is a training ground for a sincere woman-to-woman relationship.

We believe, in order to establish a healthy connection between the two, we partner with Mother-Daughter to create creative techniques to break down communication barriers. Our objective is to restore balance by providing Workshops and Life Coaching Sessions for our clients.

You may be wondering where the name “MK Communicates” comes from? Well, our story begins with the desire of a mother (Marilyn “M”) to have a healthy and fun-filled relationship with her daughter (Katrina “K”). Their relationship began very close, but like many mothers and daughters, it began to become estranged during Katrina’s adolescent years. Marilyn quickly realized the need for effective communication and refused to allow her relationship with her daughter to suffer. Although the challenge was quite difficult, she learned through much practice, and continual persistence, how to strengthen their relationship - they talked about EVERYTHING! Marilyn made it her duty to LISTEN, LOVE and UNDERSTAND her daughter. Of course Katrina didn’t agree with everything, however, it allowed her to be open and willing to listen to her Mother’s wisdom. Their talks and difficult conversations developed into a bond that has become indefinitely inseparable.

As an adult, Katrina realized that she was not the only person who struggled with a mother-daughter relationship and developed a passion to help others. She received an opportunity to share her story and invited her Mother along. Shortly thereafter, Marilyn and Katrina observed an opportunity to create a company that would strengthen the communication gap between mothers and daughters nationwide; hence, “MK Communicates” was conceived along with a mission that will be persistent between mothers and daughters for generations to come.
